Rockwell, Norman, American painter and illustrator (1894-1978); beloved for his familiar, warm, and humorous depictions of the American experience. First Day Cover Signed "sincerely, Norman Rockwell," on a Washington, 2/8/1960 cover for a Boy Scouts 50th anniversary stamp based on a Rockwell painting. In excellent condition. Rockwell had begun his serious career as an illustrator for the Scouting magazine Boys' Life.
