Spanish Colonies: Cuba, 1798-1898, extensive collection of mint, used and covers. Early issues are in mounts on Schaubek blank pages and later issues are hinged on Spanish album pages, with detailed notes in Spanish throughout. There is an extensive coverage of the first issue, including cancel and shade varieties, strips and blocks. Issues from about 1875 are fairly complete, plus officials. And there are a few stamps of Spain used in Cuba, also some Revolutionary Government issues. In addition to the stamps, there are 20 covers with stamps plus 18 stampless folded letters. Occasional minor toning or other small fault, generally Fine to Very Fine. Stamps alone catalog over $6000 and there is considerable value in the covers. Fully imaged on the web - have a look!
Estimate $2,500 - 3,500.
