Dickinson & Co.), with Boston and SHIP postmarks, "22" rate mark; 1840, St. Petersburg Russia to Germantown, Pa., with New York transit cancel, an interesting diplomatic pouch letter; 1840, French Foreign Ministry to the US Chargé d'Affaires in St. Petersburg Russia, a diplomatic pouch cover, with red seal on the reverse; 1851, London England to Philadelphia, marked "per Africa", with New York receiver; 1851, Paris France to New York, marked "per Africa via Liverpool", with detailed 4 page letter included; and 1866, New York to Havre France, marked "per Asia", with "16" (decimes) French due mark, lengthy letter enclosed (en français, naturellement), Fine to Very Fine.
