Great Britain, 1840, Queen Victoria First Issue, 1d black (Scott 1), plate 6, almost 4 margins, tied by black Maltese Cross cancel on a May 8, 1841 folded letter from Bolton to London. The letter was originally submitted as paid in cash ("1" in red crayon), then canceled and the 1d black added, with a TOO LATE postmark on the reverse, Fine to Very Fine. Scott $750.
