1847, 5¢ red brown (Scott 1), a pretty stamp having lovely blued paper and four very large margins, with red square grid cancel of New York, used on small cover with "Boy's City/Express Post/Oct 12 9" oval handstamp at right along with a red "New-York" c.d.s. to Bridgeport, Connecticut, manuscript "Station" endorsement at top right; cover with minor soiling, Very Fine, signed Stanley B. Ashbrook.
