1847, 5¢ red brown (Scott 1), an extraordinarily handsome vertical pair with large margins all around, rich color and razor sharp impression, tied exclusively to an 1849 folded letter to Webster, Mass. by triply struck "Philada. Pa/Apr 23/10" integral rate c.d.s. in blue, an additional complete strike and two partial strikes appear at right also in blue, Extremely Fine, vertical pairs on the Five Cent 1847 are quite scare on cover.
