Japan, 1872, Dragon, 1s blue, plate 1, ductile wove paper (J.S.C.A. 6b. Scott 6c), position 27, extraordinarily well centered for this issue, with an unusual shift of the perforations at bottom left, and a neat circular ("kiban") cancel; a tiny thin on the reverse, otherwise Extremely Fine, a rare stamp, listed but not priced in Scott. J.S.C.A. 440,000 yen ($2,730).
