Cleveland, Frances, (1864-1947), First Lady of the United States; second wife of President Grover Cleveland, she was many years his junior; noted for her beauty and bright personality. Franked cover signed "Frances F Cleveland Preston," Princeton, NJ 4/17/29 hand addressed by her to Edward Stern, Esq of New York. Cancellation touches the signature and some ink smear at the end plus a small stain near the addressee; still quite lovely.
