Auction 89

Lot 601

//o

1851-1934, a mint and used collection with high catalog value, in mounts on Lighthouse hingeless album pages. The early issues are mostly used including a few with certificates, then mostly mint from the Banknote issues onward, quite clean with strength in Washington-Franklins and 1919-1934 issues (a mix of hinged and never hinged); no back-of-the-book. Noteworthy unused include Columbians to the 50¢, Trans-Miss. to 10¢, Pan-Americans nearly complete, Louisiana Purchase and Jamestown, Panama-Pacific perf 10 nearly complete, Washington-Franklins to the $2, White Plains souvenir sheet and more. There is a lot of value here to pull out or build upon. Some scattered faults mainly in the early issues (and a couple without gum) but generally sound, mainly Fine to Very Fine. Shipping weight 2 lbs / 0.9 kilos. Scott approximately $25,000.
Estimate $4,000 - 6,000.
