1890, 1¢ Franklin, dull blue and 1894, 1¢ Franklin, ultramarine, unwatermarked (Scott 219, 246), each used on magnificent fold out trade cards, the 1890 issue on a card showing a U.S. Mail pouch, with an illustrated ad in the fold out for Talcott's Belt Hooks; the 1894 issue on a card showing a clothing trunk, with an ad inside the fold out for Levando's French Dyeing and Cleansing Establishment in Boston. A very attractive and unusual pair of early cards, Very Fine.
