1890, 1¢ Franklin, dull blue (Scott 219), a group of 6 used on pioneer post cards, all with advertising, including:
Special Postal Service, with an ad for bank stationery on the reverse;
Telephone Mfg. Co., with a nice black & white illustration on the front and more ad on the reverse;
National Harness Oil Co., with a price list on the reverse;
Hudson's Garden Hose Mender, with a black & white illustration on the reverse;
Akron Heating & Ventilating Co., with an elaborate illustrated ad on the reverse; and
Good Accident Insurance Man, with an 1891 ad on the reverse.
Attractive items, generally Fine to Very Fine. These are very scarce early cards with retail prices over $800.
