1861, 3¢ Washington, rose (Scott 65), a gem with outstanding centering and margins, bright color, tied by bold strike of blue segmented cork with matching "Chicago Ill. RA Oct. 5" double-circle datestamp on buff prisoner-of-war cover to Williamstown Ky., with a clear strike of "Camp Douglas, Prisoners Letter, Examined" oval handstamp (Ty. I); slightly reduced at right, an Extremely Fine stamp on a lovely fresh cover, ex-Morton, Hinrichs, with 2019 and 2005 P.F. certificates.
