1879-83, 2¢ Washington, red brown + 4¢ Jackson, blue green + six 15¢ Webster, red orange (Scott 189, 210, 211), used on an 1887 cover from Boston to Melbourne, Australia, with original routing "via San Francisco" crossed out and "via Brindisi" (Italy) added, and with London and Melbourne backstamps. An attractive 3-color franking to an uncommon destination, Fine to Very Fine.

The rate to South Australia at the time was 12¢ per half ounce via British Mail, so this was an 8x rate usage - most unusual - and even more unusual, it was marked MORE TO PAY.
