1861, 30¢ Franklin, orange (Scott 71), tied by "Bethany Va. Dec. 28" double-circle datestamp on an 1867 mourning cover to Adelaide, South Australia, with red London PAID transit cancel and receiving backstamp. The stamp with internal creases and the cover was lightly cleaned, otherwise Fine, with 2005 P.F. certificate, an attractive usage to a scarce destination. Scott $400.
