Lot 523		//o 1852-1944, a mint and used collection balance, hinged or in mounts on Scott album pages. Mostly used through 1890, with better items including#36 ($325), 70 ($300), 78b ($475). Mint includes #113 ($500), Columbians to the 15¢, 1¢ to 8¢ Pan-Americans, Jamsstown complete, 5¢ Panama-Pacific perf. 10, most commemoratives from about 1922 to 1940 (including many blocks of 4), the 1931 definitive issue in blocks of 4, Presidentials complete singles + blocks of 4 to the $2, and a nice group of early airmails. A fairly clean collection with few if any faults noted, the used are mainly Fine, the mint are mainly Fine to Very Fine. A nice lot for the collector, with a nice range of issues. Lot 524		/ 1851-1954, an extensive mainly mint collection balance, in mounts on White Ace pages. The collection begins with a small amount of 19th century used, then continues through Bank Note issues, Columbians, 1st Bureau issues, a few Trans-Mississippi, very rich in Washington-Franklins including coil pairs, numerous early commemoratives, 1922 definitives to the $5, Presidentials to the $5, Liberty series to the $5, plus special delivery, postage dues, parcel post, a few officials and a smattering of newspapers. A few faults noted (mainly creases or gum creases), and there are some regummed stamps in the 1890-1915 period, but there are mint never hinged stamps galore, especially in the $50-$150 catalog value range. Lot 525		/ 1887-1976, a small "investment" holding of moderately better items, assembled around the year 1980, consisting of 70 mostly different U.S. stamps, in mounts on specially printed and annotated pages, ranging in catalog value from $350 (#461, Fine to Very Fine, NH) down to $1.60. Includes numerous definitives, commemoratives, a few airmail and some duck stamps, with a few plate blocks as well. Catalog values: 46 items are never hinged (2 with large gum skips), catalog value $1965; 13 are o.g. hinged, catalog value $578; 10 are regummed, catalog value $433 as o.g.; and one (#679) is precanceled, catalog value $22.50. There is some value in the items in decent condition cataloging $100 or more (#214, 348 pair, 351, 461, 578 and RW4). Centering is generally Fine to Very Fine, a few modern items better, a few older ones less.
