Virtually complete with only a few spaces to fill from the early 50's and some blank pages for the 1970's; plus a second album that has a mix of mint and used, it appears the owner was trying to replicate the collection in used stamps as well; imaged on the website, Fine to Very Fine. /o Saudi Arabia, 1916-78, a massive and important specialized collection, with many key values, mainly mint, hinged on well-annotated blank pages in 2 binders. Hejaz (the Hashemite issues of 1916-1925) catalogs $9154, is over 95% complete for the period for basic issues (major numbers only - there are few if any overprint varieties), and includes better individual stamps and sets cataloging up to $900. Noteworthy are #L22 ($500), L55-L60 ($310), L92 ($900), L108-L115 ($840) and L129-L131 ($495). The later Saudi issues (1925 onward, including important Nejd, Hejaz-Nejd and extensive unified Kingdom issues) catalog $18,300, plus many uncounted items. Issues from 1949 onward include many shade and other varieties, also pairs, blocks and complete sheets, and there is a large selection of stamps used on piece or on cover. In nice condition overall, generally Fine to Very Fine. A wonderful collection for the serious specialist or dealer in this area.
