Lot 80
/o/
Paraguay, 1862-1962, the specialized collection formed by the late George McNamara. Starting with the 1862 "Lion" essays and continuing through regular issues, commemoratives, airmail and other back-of-the-book, plus some postal stationery and considerable reference material, imperfs, part-perfs etc. Apparently complete (or nearly so) for the period, in mounts on pages and carefully annotated, with extensive notes and examples of reprints and forgeries. George marked this as his "reference collection" and it could well serve as such for the serious collector or dealer, as the value is considerably more than the catalog value (approximately $1000) of the listed stamps alone. A sampling has been imaged. Shipping weight 5.8 lbs / 2.65 kilos.
Estimate $300 - 400.
