(x2), handwriqtten on cover to Jackass Gulch via Express (red c.d.s from Shirley, MA), 1839 letter to France with forwarders stamp "Gilpins Exchange - Reading Room and Foreign Letter Office"; and 6 (Adams Express Co. and G.H. Wines & Co.'s Atlantic, California & Oregon Express) receipts or collection envelopes. All imaged on the website, generally Fine to Very Fine, a nice mix of these historic and popular express companies.
