Australia & Dependencies, 1913-96, mostly mint n.h. collection, in 2 Scott albums and 3 Lighthouse hingeless albums. Australia is sparse before 1930, then has many of the 1930's commemoratives (no Sydney Bridge however), then seems to be complete mint from 1940 to 1996. We note the 1949-50 Arms high values are used, and the 1963-65 Sterling Birds and Navigators set is missing, although the 1965 Decimal Birds and Navigators set is complete. Dependencies include: Australian Antarctic Territory complete 1957-1995, Christmas Island complete 1958-1979, Cocos Islands complete 1963-1995, Norfolk Island nearly complete 1947-1979 (missing 5 stamps in the 1958-60 period), Papua New Guinea complete 1964-1979. There are fewer than 10 used stamps total in the early part of the collection, and the King George V issues are hinged. From King George VI through Queen Elizabeth II all appear to be mint n.h. This is a beautiful collection and a great way to start collecting Australia, generally Fine to Very Fine. Scott $2,000 ++.
Estimate $500 - 750.
