Olympics: Didriksen and Tolan, Outstanding 1932 Summer Olympics First Day Cover Signed by American golfing stars "Babe Didriksen" and "Eddie Tolan," postmarked Los Angeles, 7/30/1932, the first day of the games. Some foxing at top left, otherwise in great condition. Didriksen and Tolan would each win two gold medals that year.

Orr, Bobby, Two time Stanley Cup champion Bobby Orr is one of the greatest hockey players to ever live. This former Boston Bruins defenseman was selected to numerous All-Star Teams and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1979. Orr was also named to the NHL First All-Star Team eight times and the NHL Second All-Star Team once; signed FDC in Lake Placid NY on Jan 6 1984 just before the 1984 Winter Olympics.

Owens, Jesse, Legendary American athlete (1913-80); won four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. Commemorative Cover Signed "Jesse Owens" vertically at right, uncancelled, for a field dedication in May 1963 that Owens attended. Dominican Republic stamp of the track star. Fine condition.

Rockwell, Norman, American painter and illustrator (1894-1978); beloved for his familiar, warm, and humorous depictions of the American experience. Two First Day Covers, first Signed "sincerely, Norman Rockwell," on a Washington, 2/8/1960 cover for a Boy Scouts 50th anniversary stamp based on a Rockwell painting, in excellent condition; Rockwell had begun his serious career as an illustrator for the Scouting magazine Boys' Life; second FDC, signed Norman Rockwell on a Washington, 10/26/63 cover for the 100th Anniversary of City Mail Delivery; also a photocopy of a friendly typewritten letter where he tells a collector, "…I am pleased to sign the first day covers. Happy New Year!"
